This is unfair...
unfair in what sense??
You check the timetable, fetch your camera, and walk to the station. You stand at a platform, to get a five-star video... just by being there: only in India it is possible to see trains this size. We poor foreigners are left gaping.
Then you read the IRFCA guidelines, and they talk about "run of the mill videos of trains running past a station" and "ordinary trackside clips".
Methinks every video from India is extraordinary: here you never ever get trains this long... See the unfairness of it?
And you never get to enjoy the train journeys because of very many reasons. One is you can't feel the fresh breeze outside since every coach is A/C. Also you can't stand at the doors. And your wayside stations, no one gets down and it's empty with no humans. No wonder I see people from West sitting on the entry door of Indian trains and enjoying like small kids. India may be filthy and noisy but no country is so vibrant and fucking colorful. And the only place to find your lost Self.

No hay derecho... Esto es injusto...
¿¿Injusto en qué sentido??
Vosotros miráis el horario de trenes, agarráis la cámara, y vais a la estación dando un paseo. Os paráis en cualquier andén, para hacer un video de cinco estrellas... por estar ahí: sólo en la India es posible ver trenes de estas medidas. Nosotros, los pobres extranjeros, nos quedamos con la boca abierta.
Luego te miras las normas de la IRFCA, y te hablan de "vulgares videos de trenes pasando por una estación" y "clips ordinarios hechos junto a la vía".
Pienso que todos y cada uno de los videos de la India son extraordinarios: aquí nunca jamás ves trenes tan largos... ¿Ves la injusticia de todo ello?
Y nunca disfrutas de los viajes en tren, por muchísimas razones. Una es que no puedes sentir la brisa fresca ahí fuera, porque todos los coches llevan aire acondicionado. Tampoco puedes quedarte en las puertas. Y las estaciones, nadie baja y están vacías, sin seres humanos. No me extraña ver occidentales sentados en las escalerillas de los trenes indios, disfrutando como críos pequeños. La India puede ser sucia y ruidosa, pero ningún país es tan vibrante y dichosamente lleno de color. Y es el único sitio donde encontrarás tu Yo perdido.
